Trevor was by far the cheapest to quote for exactly the same service, an arboricultural report, and his price was a lot cheaper than that of his nearest competitors. Yet his service was quick, efficient and of great quality. He was also able to come and see us in a few days and turn the report around in less than a week. My architect was also very impressed. We were very lucky to still find someone honest who takes real pride in what he does. I could not recommend him more highly.

Contacted Mr Heaps with my request for an Arboricultural Survey which I needed for a planning application. The response was prompt and a survey was duly carried out. I was amazed at the speed Mr Heaps delivered the final report and my architect is well pleased with the result. When I had the quotation from Mr Heaps I thought this is too good to be true especially as he had to travel down to Bournemouth from London, his fees were half of what I had been quoted from local firms. My scepticism soon disappeared after the first chat I had with Mr Heaps. Mr Heaps arrived on time and got to work finding out exactly what was required. He walked around the property and took good notice of the trees that would be affected and what measurements would be needed to avoid any problems. He then spent a while measuring distances, health of the trees and the quality of the ground service. Mr Heaps clearly informed us of the required protective measures and the alternative remedies that could be applied. Once we decided our best options he informed us that he will be making his report which will be sent to the architect. We were completely satisfied with the procedure and professionalism that we received. We believe we had exceptional service and would be glad not only to use his services again should we need and also to highly recommend him. An added bonus was the fact that Mr Heaps was very helpful in odd questions about trees not in his brief that we asked him.

Trevor was excellent! He charged what I initially considered to be an honest fee (some of the other quotes I had by other tree specialist were outrageous!). Trevor was super-responsive, approachable and professional. Where Trevor really added great value was when the planning application became a bit more complicated than initially planned: he was again super responsive, helpful and thought outside the box. Very prompt and efficient service, Trevor gave us plenty of useful advice during our site meeting and also afterwards when applying for planning permission and completing his reports. He sent the reports back to us very quickly and has since been available when needed for more questions!

We can't recommend Trevor Heaps enough. We needed to find a surveyor to provide an arboricultural impact assessment and method statement. We looked at some of the recommended people from the Trees website and were hugely, hugely disappointed. Some were ridiculously expensive, others didn't turn up and one consultant was so pessimistic that he scared us off. One was keen for the work and then two days later indicated that he was abroad and could not do the work.

We found Trevor Heaps by chance and we're impressed with his product. He answered his phone and gave good, honest and straightforward advice. He went out of his way to visit us promptly (a 200 mile round-journey drive) and Trevor was clear on his communication the whole way through. He knows councils and the officers' way of working and was able to recommend a solid and good course of action.

We appointed Trevor due to his list of qualifications and experience; and this was reflected in the practical and professional manner he dealt with our issue on his site visit. The issue related to a 15m tall Leyland Cypress tree at the rear end of our neighbour's garden which is 3.5m away from the flank wall of our property. The roots of this tree have damaged the side concrete path of our property and Trevor’s brief included assessing further potential damage. He did a full inspection and addressed all of our concerns including remedial action going forward. This was followed up quickly with a detailed professional and informative report which will be sent to our neighbour.
